I started working in Luxury travel over 23 years ago and during this time, I’ve have been lucky enough to visit many global destinations and to stay in some incredible properties. Whilst I specialise in Europe and ski – I love Switzerland, Greece and Italy – I’ve also been fortunate to experience the best of the Caribbean too. On a recent work trip to Barbados, St. Lucia and Grenada I was able to experience how each island has their own distinct personality – vital for our level of clientele.

Within Europe, Greece (especially Crete) is very popular with my clients. I once arranged a secret marriage proposal for a long-standing client. He popped the question during a romantic private dinner overlooking the spectacular Santorini caldera at sunset – thankfully his girlfriend accepted! We added fireworks for the ultimate finale!

With regard to my own ‘pinch me’ travel moments, taking a private jet to Venice for the weekend was definitely a highlight! Florence and Rome are other cities I adore visiting – I suppose I have a thirst for exploring. I love a good cultural tour – I once enjoyed a private tour of the Vatican, a memorable experience I highly recommend!

In terms of why I love my job, it’s the opportunity to travel and create unforgettable trips for clients. Who wouldn’t like to make dream holidays come true?! I’ve still plenty of my own yet to plan too – from cruising the Greek islands, to returning to ski in Patagonia. My trip-of-a-lifetime has to be a cultural tour of the Far East with my husband (without our children)! If I hadn’t started to work in travel, I might have ended up as a singer on a cruise ship (I’m a big karaoke fan), or perhaps a ski instructor…I’ll stick to my day job!
